- On December 23, Acting Minister of Health Kanibek Dosmambetov held a meeting with representatives of the pharmaceutical industry to discuss issues related to providing medical institutions with necessary medications.
This system is designed to enhance control and prevent unscrupulous practices in the field of medical products. The Ministry notes that the implementation of the system will ensure transparency in the movement of drugs from the moment of purchase to their receipt by patients, as well as allow for predicting needs and planning purchases, which will help respond quickly to potential shortages and eliminate opaque schemes.
Work on implementing the traceability system began in 2018, and the first phase was completed in March 2023. According to the latest data, 1,955 pharmacies and 227 medical organizations are currently participating in the system.
