At the meeting of the committee on labor, healthcare, women's affairs, and social issues, Deputy Zhyldyz Egenberdieva raised the problem of the shortage of thrombolysis and antiplasmin drugs in neurosurgery and traumatology departments, which should be purchased through the High Technology Fund.
The deputy emphasized that while the cardiology center receives these drugs, the neurosurgery and neurotrauma departments remain without the necessary supplies. She also noted that stents and clips, which are also needed for these departments, are only purchased for cardiology. Egenberdieva inquired about the plans for their acquisition.
Acting Minister of Health Kanbek Dosmambetov responded that the procurement of drugs was carried out in 2025 and an application had been submitted for them. "At the moment, thrombolysis drugs have already been purchased. However, it is necessary to review their application, taking into account quality, pharmaceutical characteristics, and clinical efficacy. Before submitting new applications, we must conduct this assessment. The list includes various medications, including thrombolytics," he noted.
Egenberdieva continued that thrombolysis is a widely accepted practice in the treatment of heart attacks worldwide, and Kyrgyzstan should not lag behind international standards. Dosmambetov added that the correct use of this drug can lead to positive outcomes.
The deputy pointed out that the use of thrombolysis has helped reduce mortality rates from heart attacks. "It is important to understand that thrombolysis is standard treatment. A roadmap in the field of neurology is currently being developed, and it needs to be refined. We are purchasing drugs produced in Russia, but we should consider the possibility of acquiring medications from Europe to enhance treatment effectiveness," she emphasized.
