Vera began her creative journey at the Orsk Drama Theater. After graduating from the Moscow Art Theater School, she continued her career at the Pushkin Theater in Moscow. Great fame came to her after playing the lead role in the film "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears," which became a landmark event in the history of Soviet cinema, winning an Oscar.
