According to information provided by Yonhap, during the period in question, Kyrgyzstan imported cars worth 2.6 billion dollars, while Russia and Kazakhstan imported cars worth 909 million and 664 million dollars, respectively. Following them are the UAE with 337 million dollars and Turkey with 264 million dollars. In terms of the number of cars purchased, the leaders are Libya (119 thousand), Kyrgyzstan (104 thousand), Turkey (93 thousand), the UAE (45 thousand), and Russia (43 thousand).
The agency notes that Libya serves as a hub for the subsequent resale of inexpensive used cars to Tunisia and Algeria. Kyrgyzstan also receives "relatively expensive cars," which are then sold in Russia.
The total export volume of used cars from South Korea from January to November amounted to 8.4 billion dollars, which is 80% higher than the figures for the same period last year (4.6 billion dollars). During the 11 months of 2025, car exports from South Korea, including new and used cars, increased by 2% and reached 66 billion dollars. At the same time, exports of new cars abroad fell by 4.2% compared to last year, amounting to 57.6 billion dollars.
