The women's national team of Kyrgyzstan will play today for a spot in the final of the CAVA Cup in the Maldives.

Today, December 24, the women's volleyball team of Kyrgyzstan will play an important match that will determine their advancement to the final of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Cup.

The tournament, featuring four national teams, is taking place in the capital of the Maldives — the city of Male.

From December 21 to 23, the teams competed in the group stage, playing in a round-robin format, after which the pairs for the semifinals were formed.

The Kyrgyzstan team achieved victories over the teams of Afghanistan and Bangladesh with identical scores of 3:0; however, in the last match of the group stage, they lost to the Maldives with a score of 1:3.

As a result, the Kyrgyz women secured second place in the group and will now face Afghanistan in the semifinals. The match is scheduled to start at 17:20 Bishkek time.

In the other semifinal, the teams of the Maldives and Bangladesh will compete.

The final match and the third-place match will take place on December 25.
