At the international tournament of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Cup, held in the capital of the Maldives, Male, the women's team of Kyrgyzstan managed to reach the final.
During the group stage, the Kyrgyz women secured the second position, winning against the teams of Bangladesh and Afghanistan, but suffered a defeat against the host team – the Maldives.
The semifinal match, which took place on December 24, again pitted the Kyrgyz team against the Afghan team, in which they achieved a confident victory with a score of 3:1, thus guaranteeing themselves a place in the final.
In the decisive match, the Kyrgyz team will face the team of the Maldives. The final is scheduled for December 25.
