The international tournament in pencak silat called the "Commonwealth Cup" took place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from December 10 to 13. The national team of the Kyrgyz Republic actively participated in this competition and managed to win several prize places.

Silver medals (2nd place):

Shamil Bazarbaev — in the category up to 60 kg.
Bronze medals (3rd place):
Nurislam Mustafokulov — in the category up to 57 kg;
Temir Bikboev — in the category up to 65 kg;
Jafar Ibaiudulaev — in the category up to 70 kg;
Sıymyk Tavaldiyev — in the category up to 63 kg.
