On December 30, the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the First May District reported the detention of a suspect in fraud in Bishkek.
A resident of the capital contacted the police on May 16, stating that in September 2024, he handed over his Chevrolet Trailblazer, valued at $20,000, as part of the payment for the construction of a bathhouse, which was estimated at $10,000. According to him, the worker promised to return the remaining $10,000, but ultimately deceived him.
The case was registered under Article 209 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The law enforcement agencies detained the suspect, F.S., born in 1989. The court ordered him to be placed in pre-trial detention center No. 1.
During the investigation, it was revealed that there are other similar complaints against the detained individual. The police believe there may be other victims.
