According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a report was received indicating that a land plot intended for social use had ended up in private hands. As a result of these actions, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 337 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning abuse of official position.
During joint operational-search activities conducted by the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Investigative Service of the Osh City Police Department, key figures were identified and detained: Sh.K., deputy director of the Osh branch of the State Agency for Land Resources, and S.A., former head of the Municipal Property Management of the Osh City Hall. Both detainees have been placed in custody.
According to an independent assessment, the value of the disputed land plot is 200,000,000 soms, and it has been returned to the management of municipal property of the Osh City Hall.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to identify other individuals involved in this illegal land transfer.
