Tashiev asked the company representative what percentage of the work had already been completed, to which he received the response that the section would be finished by August 31.
“How can you approach this matter so irresponsibly? Five kilometers can be finished in a month! You’ve been dragging this out for eight months! Are you even capable of having a dialogue, or am I just talking to the air?” - the head of the GKNB exclaimed.
Transport and Communications Minister Absattar Syrgabaev also expressed doubt that the company would complete the construction within the specified timeframe.
“Let them just try! Starting tomorrow, they won’t sleep at home. Set up a tent by the road and sleep there. The road must be ready by May 30! The responsibility for inspections will lie with the heads of the GKNB departments located in the construction areas,” Tashiev added.
He also reminded that the construction deadlines had been prolonged, and during this time the project should have been completed without delays.
“What to do with you?! Five years have already passed! You need to be detained and made to bear all the costs, not the budget. In Uzgen and Kara-Kuldja, despite difficult conditions, roads are built in a few months. And you can’t finish the work on the flat terrain of Issyk-Kul!? By the time you finish the road, the president's term will be over. Take a shovel in your hands and work! You will be held accountable for every penny. If you don’t finish, I won’t leave a single stone upon another! And to make sure they don’t run away, put red flags on them,” Tashiev concluded.
