A draft resolution has been submitted for public discussion, which proposes amendments to the regulations of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan.
The purpose of this document is to adapt the ministry's operations in accordance with the decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the authorized bodies responsible for monitoring compliance with the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union in the transport sector.
It is planned that the powers of the Ministry of Transport will be significantly expanded. In particular, the ministry will be granted the functions of state control and supervision not only over wheeled vehicles but also over road infrastructure, including highways and railways. Furthermore, the Ministry of Transport will have the right to approve acceptance acts for completed facilities, such as roads and railway tracks, provided they comply with project documentation, technical regulations, and international standards.
As part of the project, the creation of two registers is also planned: for facilities under construction and for those being put into operation. Special attention will be paid to strengthening the control over the quality of construction materials and products at all stages of work with transport infrastructure.
