In Kyrgyzstan, work has begun on the reconstruction of the locomotive repair complex. As reported by "Evening Omsk," the scientific and production center "Promtech" is participating in a large-scale international project — the modernization of this complex in Kyrgyzstan, acting as the main technological partner.
The key element of the project is unique equipment that was specially designed and manufactured for the state enterprise "National Company 'Kyrgyz Temir Zholu'." The new production lines will service both mainline and shunting locomotives.
"Deep digitalization is an important part of the project. All equipment will be integrated into a single platform called 'Digital Depot,' which will elevate the level of automation and control of the repair process to a completely new level," the message notes.
After the installation is completed, specialists from Omsk will conduct commissioning works and organize training for local workers, ensuring a complete process for the implementation of new technologies. This project contributes to strengthening the status of the Omsk region as a center for innovative solutions in engineering and digitalization for the transport sector," the press release adds.
