An emergency landing of a Lufthansa airplane occurred in Almaty, as reported by the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan.
The incident took place on December 26, when one of the passengers on flight LH 0722, traveling from Munich to Beijing, passed away during the flight. In connection with this, the crew made the decision to land immediately at Almaty International Airport.
The passenger lost consciousness, after which the airport medical service was called along with the city ambulance team.
According to the medical personnel who arrived at the scene, the passenger had already died during the flight, as noted in the official statement.
After completing all necessary procedures, the plane was refueled in Almaty and continued its journey to Beijing at 7:56 local time.
