Recently, "Kursiv" received an official clarification from Papa John’s. Company representatives specified that this is not about a complete withdrawal from the region, but about terminating the contract with a specific partner.

Daniyar Monolbaev reported that his business will no longer serve as the master franchisee for Papa John’s in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, citing a decrease in revenue and an increase in expenses. He added that all available funds were directed towards covering salaries, taxes, rent, and partial debt repayment. Most employees in Kazakhstan found new jobs with the support of the company, and the remaining obligations are currently being resolved legally.
“Papa John’s has ended its cooperation with the master franchisee in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. This decision underscores our commitment to high quality standards and better customer service. We are actively exploring new opportunities to maintain our presence in the region,” noted a company representative in a conversation with “Kursiv.”

At the moment, 14 Papa John’s restaurants continue to operate in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, located in cities such as Aktau, Taraz, Astana (Asia Park, Balkadisha, Khan Shatyr), Almaty, Atyrau (Infinity Mall), Kostanay (Plaza), Ust-Kamenogorsk (Maxi Mall and ADK River), and Kokshetau (Rio Shopping Mall), as well as in other localities.
