In this report, it is stated that during the preparation of the interim message, the commission collected and analyzed factual data, which includes information about the crew, air traffic controllers, regulatory documents of the operator, as well as meteorological data and maintenance materials. Copies of the flight log and other documents related to the flight were obtained.
Work with the onboard recorders: extraction, identification, and decoding of flight parameters from the flight data recorder, as well as decoding of the cockpit voice recorder.During the investigation, the following studies were conducted:
- comprehensive examination of the identified metal objects (including traceological, ballistic, explosive technical, and fire analyses). The results showed that no traces of explosives were found. No traces of an explosion were found on three oxygen cylinders. The damage to the aircraft was likely caused by the striking elements of the warhead; however, their source has not been established. A traceological analysis of a part of the hydraulic system tube was conducted, which showed damage resulting from a collision with solid objects. Penetrating damage could have been caused by metal fragments made of steel alloy;
- examination of the central maintenance computer cassette, from which data could not be extracted due to thermal effects.
