The report also lists the conducted examinations, such as trace evidence, ballistic, explosive, and fire investigations, concerning the metallic objects found at the crash site. All studies confirmed the absence of explosion traces.

However, the document mentions that the aircraft, according to preliminary data, sustained damage from impact elements that may be related to combat operations. However, their origin is not disclosed in the report.

It is worth recalling that on December 25, 2024, a tragedy occurred: the plane en route from Baku to Grozny crashed near Aktau Airport after unsuccessful landing attempts in Russia. As a result of the accident, 38 people died, and 29 injured were hospitalized.

Among the injured were three citizens of Kyrgyzstan, who were returned to their homeland on December 30 for further treatment.

According to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Azerbaijani airline paid an insurance compensation of 1.003 billion rubles for the lost aircraft.

As stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart in October, one of the reasons for the tragedy was Ukrainian drones.
