China's Accumulated Investments in the Eurasian Region Reached $66.1 Billion by Mid-2025

- According to data presented by the EDB, the volume of Chinese investments in the Eurasian region has increased by 80% over the past nine years.

According to UNCTAD, in 2024, global flows of foreign direct investment (FDI) excluding transit finance decreased by 11%. This decline is observed as a result of reduced international investments from many major economies, which also affects capital inflows to a number of Eurasian countries.

“Against the backdrop of these trends, mutual investments between China and the countries of the Eurasian region stand out as a positive exception. The activity of Chinese companies in this region has not only not diminished but continues to show steady growth,” the authors of the report emphasize.

By the end of the first half of 2025, accumulated Chinese investments in the Eurasian region reached $66.1 billion, which is 80% more compared to 2016:
