As of the morning of December 26, at 9:00 AM, all passes and main highways of the country remain open, and traffic, including freight vehicles, is proceeding without restrictions.
The ministry noted that snow is falling on the section of the Bishkek - Osh highway (Too-Ashuu pass) and the Suusamyr - Talas - Taraz road, in the area of the Otmok pass. Road services are actively engaged in clearing the roadway and treating the roads with a sand-salt mixture.
Work on clearing and treating with inert materials continues on all subordinate roads.
Drivers are strongly advised to take into account the adverse weather conditions. When traveling to mountainous areas, it is essential to switch to winter tires and carry necessary safety equipment.
