In Kyrgyzstan, a temporary ban on the import of electronic cigarettes and liquids containing nicotine has been reintroduced. The decision was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet, Adylbek Kasymaliev.
The ban, according to the adopted decision, will be in effect for six months. The restrictions apply to both electronic cigarettes and nicotine delivery systems, as well as nicotine-containing liquids classified under the EAEU customs code 2404 12 000 0.
This decision is aimed at protecting the health of the population from the harmful effects of tobacco and nicotine, as well as from tobacco smoke and aerosols.
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has been tasked with notifying the World Trade Organization and the Eurasian Economic Commission, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will inform the Executive Committee of the CIS.
Additionally, the Customs Service and the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security must take measures to prevent the illegal import of these products.
The previous decree of the Cabinet from July 2, 2025, which imposed a similar ban, has also been revoked.
The new document will come into effect in 15 days.
