At a joint meeting of the committees of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Gulnara Baatyrova pointed out the acute shortage of rehabilitation centers in the regions of Kyrgyzstan.

According to her, there are approximately 221 thousand citizens with disabilities in the country, and this number continues to grow. The deputy noted that the existing center "Kelechek" is unable to meet all the needs of the population.

Furthermore, Baatyrova expressed concern that only a small number of people are able to independently provide themselves with the necessary rehabilitation, and she questioned whether the Cabinet of Ministers has plans to create new rehabilitation institutions.

In response to this statement, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, confirmed that such plans do exist. According to him, efforts are currently underway to find sponsors to finance the projects. "This issue is among the priorities; we recognize the importance of construction," he noted.
