In the Issyk-Kul region, in the Jeti-Oguz district, an old mill has been preserved, as reported by a teacher from the village of Chon-Jargyldchak, Bolot Urkaliev, to a Turmush correspondent.

According to him, the village is located not far from the highway. His grandmother and grandfather on his mother's side built the first mill here.

“In those days, not only local residents came here, but also people from neighboring villages for grinding. My grandfather worked at the mill and gave out flour for free to anyone who wanted it. This mill has been preserved to this day,” he shared.

Local residents specified that the mill is called “Biytyke Mill,” as it was Biytyke who first opened it and provided services to the villagers, as well as engaged in charity work.

“Over time, mills began to be built in other villages as well. The first mill was erected more than a hundred years ago from wood and was located not far from the river. Nearby was Biytyke's house, where films were also shot,” they added.
