Young Talents: 7th Grader Ayana Kylchbekova Wins Silver in Judo in Chui Region After Two Months of Training

Ayana Kylchbekova, a seventh grader from Tokmok, successfully competed in a judo tournament, taking an honorable 2nd place in the weight category up to 36 kg. The tournament took place in her hometown, Tokmok.

Turmush correspondent spoke with this young athlete.

“I study in the 7-B class of secondary school No. 12. There are three children in our family: my older sister Nuraiym, and my younger brother Aman. My dad is Bakyt Kylchbekov, and my mom's name is Guzal Buranova,” she shared.

Ayana started practicing judo just two months ago. In this short time, she managed to take 3rd place in international competitions, and now she is proud of her silver medal at the Chui region championship. “The idea to practice judo came from my father, and after that, I started training,” the girl added.

At the moment, Ayana has two medals: 3rd place in international competitions in Bishkek and 2nd place in the regional tournament. In addition to the medals, she also has diplomas and trophies. In her free time, she enjoys studying English, sports, and drawing,” she concluded.
