The women's national team of Kyrgyzstan won the tournament in the Maldives

The women's volleyball team of Kyrgyzstan took first place at the international tournament held in the Maldives.

The Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Cup took place from December 21 to 25 in the capital city of Male, with four teams participating.

During the group stage, the teams competed in a round-robin format. The Kyrgyz team started with two confident victories over the teams of Afghanistan and Bangladesh, defeating them with the same score of 3:0; however, in the third match, they suffered a defeat against the Maldives team with a score of 1:3.

As a result of the group tournament, the Kyrgyz team finished in second place and advanced to the semifinals, where they faced the Afghanistan team.

The semifinal match ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of the Kyrgyz women, allowing them to reach the final and get a chance for revenge against the host team.

In the final match, held on December 25, the Kyrgyz team started with a loss in the first set but then managed to turn the game around and won three sets in a row.

As a result of the final, the final score was 3:1 in favor of the Kyrgyz team, which became the champion of the tournament.
