According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, the new concept aims to define strategic directions for the tourism industry, as well as to implement measures that promote deeper economic cooperation and increase the number of tourists traveling between the member states of the Union.

The development involves the creation of joint tourism products, the development of routes within the Eurasian Union, as well as raising awareness of the tourism opportunities of the countries in both domestic and international markets. In addition, a special section dedicated to tourism issues will be created on the Union's portal.
Tourism plays a key role in economic growth and job creation. According to the World Travel and Tourism Council, in 2024 this sector accounted for about 10% of global GDP and provided one in ten jobs. In the EAEU countries, the share of tourism in gross domestic product is approximately 3%, indicating significant potential for further development.
It is expected that the implementation of this concept will lead to an increase in mutual tourist flows, a strengthened contribution of the tourism industry to the economy, the development of infrastructure, and the creation of new jobs in the member states of the Union.
