The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration is actively working on the development of foster families in the country. Each year, budget funds are allocated for the training of potential foster parents and for the care of children in such families.
As of today, there are 114 foster families operating in the republic, where 250 children are being raised. Additionally, 31 candidates have been registered to work as foster parents. Since 2014, more than 400 children have been able to receive assistance in foster families.
Regional offices of the ministry conduct regular monitoring to ensure compliance with the standards of upbringing and care for children in these families.
It should be noted that the procedure for providing services by foster families is regulated by government resolution No. 622, issued on December 21, 2020.
