This initiative has been functioning since 2007 and is successfully extended every two years.
In 2025, 4,315 citizens of Kyrgyzstan sought consultations regarding the EPS program, wishing to find work in Korea. Two stages of testing for knowledge of the Korean language were organized for program participants, with 339 out of 1,350 candidates successfully passing the exam.
225 people signed employment contracts, and 232 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, including 30 women, left for work.According to the Ministry of Labor, most working Kyrgyz citizens are employed in the food, chemical, and paper industries, as well as in factories producing plastic, rubber, and glass products. The average salary in these sectors is $1,700.
Currently, more than 1,500 citizens of Kyrgyzstan are working in South Korea under the EPS program, according to official data.
