In Kyrgyzstan, over 67,000 calls have been received on the children's hotline since the beginning of the year.

In Kyrgyzstan, since the beginning of the year, more than 67,000 calls have been received on the children's helpline.

This year, the children's helpline – 111 registered 67,429 calls. This information was provided by the Ministry of Social Protection of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Among all inquiries, 2,777 individuals sought consultation or assistance: 1,170 (42.1%) of them were children, and 1,607 (57.9%) were adults. In response to the inquiries, 1,977 consultations were provided, 574 individuals received psychological support, and 226 cases were forwarded to the relevant state authorities for further action.

Regarding the distribution by gender and age, men accounted for 438 (15.8%), women for 1,169 (42%), boys for 324 (11.7%), and girls for 846 (30.5%).

It should be noted that the children's helpline – 111 has been operating since 2015 and provides round-the-clock free assistance to all residents of the republic.

“The center employs psychologists who are ready to provide assistance over the phone 24 hours a day. Two specialists are involved in each shift, answering calls, listening to callers, providing consultations, and recording inquiries in the log. Information is forwarded to the relevant organizations depending on the situation. All calls are recorded,” the agency reported.

The main task of the center is to provide timely assistance to both children and adults who find themselves in difficult life circumstances, as well as to prevent potential risks to their psychological and social well-being.
