In the Suzak district, in the village of Turk-Abad, two houses of local residents are at risk of demolition due to the construction of a new railway. This information was presented by delegate Jumakan Ormonova at the IV People's Kurultai.
She noted that residents purchased their land plots between 1995 and 2000.
“People are willing to give up their land for the implementation of the railway construction project; however, they demand compensation and the provision of alternative plots,” the delegate added.
The IV People's Kurultai is taking place in Bishkek on December 25-26, and its goal is to create a platform for delegates from all regions of Kyrgyzstan to communicate with the country's leadership, discuss pressing issues, and put forward their proposals for the development of the republic.
