On December 29, 2025, during a meeting chaired by the Minister of Transport and Communications Abasattar Syrgabaev, important issues concerning the industry were discussed.
During the discussion of the situation regarding the construction of the Balikchy — Bokonbaev — Karakol road, the minister decided to issue reprimands to several high-ranking officials. The sanctions affected the First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications S.T.O., the Director of the Department of Road Management A.K.K., as well as the Director and Deputy Director of the state enterprise "Design and Survey Institute 'Kyrgyzdortransproject'" — A.T.N. and O.K.K.
Syrgabaev noted that this construction is under the personal control of Kamchybek Tashiev, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers. The minister instructed to expedite the work, emphasizing the importance of quality and adherence to project deadlines.
Additionally, the minister drew attention to the condition of the roads during the winter period, highlighting the need for thorough monitoring of them. He demanded that leaders who are not fulfilling their duties submit resignation letters.
It is worth noting that earlier Kamchybek Tashiev, the Chairman of the State National Security Committee, criticized the progress of the repair of a 141-kilometer road section, which began in 2021 and is still not completed. A strict warning was issued to the responsible parties and contractors. Tashiev also instructed the arrest of Mirlan Isagaliev, the founder of LLC "Kyrgyz Zhol Kurolysh," for failing to meet the deadlines for the repair of the Balikchy — Bokonbaev — Karakol road.
