During the discussion, participants raised relevant issues concerning the provision of coal to the population of the Osh region, as well as the problems related to price formation, which is causing dissatisfaction among citizens. Meeting participants were informed about the inadmissibility of manipulating public opinion through artificial price increases for coal.
Entrepreneurs engaged in coal mining also proposed allocating land plots for the creation of fuel bases during the autumn-winter period. They expressed their readiness to finance the organization and construction of these bases, which would help reduce coal prices by eliminating intermediary costs associated with its transportation. As a result of the meeting, it was announced that the issue of transforming land plots in Osh city and the Osh region for the construction of fuel bases will be considered after the completion of the heating season of 2025/2026. Participants were also recommended to lower current coal prices by the end of the year, which they agreed to.
The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic strongly warns that any actions aimed at sabotaging the pricing policy in the coal sector will be regarded as criminal offenses.
