The organization StopAntisemitism pointed out that Carlson uses his platforms to criticize Israel and its political influence in American politics, which became particularly noticeable after the conflict in Gaza began on October 7, 2023. He has become one of the most visible right-wing commentators openly opposing U.S. support for Israel.
Tucker Carlson has repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with the work of the American-Israeli Public Affairs Committee, claiming that its influence demeans American lawmakers and citizens. He has also raised questions about U.S. complicity in Israel's actions, accusing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of openly stating his influence over American leaders.
Furthermore, Carlson has criticized Christian Zionism, calling it a threat to Christianity in the U.S., arguing that its supporters see the creation of Israel and its military superiority as the fulfillment of biblical mandates.
StopAntisemitism also noted that Carlson criticized pro-Israel commentator Ben Shapiro for placing Israel's interests above domestic issues in the U.S. The organization emphasizes that their approach to publicly pressuring critics of Israel is an effective method of combating opponents of the Jewish state.
Liora Reznichenko, executive director of StopAntisemitism, previously stated that the actions of their group could have long-term consequences for the reputations of those they consider violators. She claimed that as a result of their work, at least 400 people have been fired, including academics, activists, and media representatives.
Among those who faced pressure from the group was children's educator Rachel Griffin Accurso, known as Miss Rachel. StopAntisemitism accused her of antisemitism after she published materials about the suffering of Palestinian children in Gaza. According to the International Rescue Committee, at least 20,000 children have died in the enclave, and the region ranks first in the number of child amputees per capita.
