At the headquarters of the State Committee for National Security, a meeting was held organized at the initiative of Kamchybek Tashiev with Bekzhan Urustemov, the son of Zhibek Urustemova, who was killed in Bishkek. This was reported by the press service of the GKNB.
As a result of this meeting, a decision was made to provide comprehensive assistance to the children of the deceased. In particular, it was about providing them with housing, paying off the mortgage, finding a job for the eldest son, and financing the education of all three children.
“This issue is under special control of the chairman of the GKNB,” the official statement said.
Earlier, Tashiev also commented on the situation, noting that the deceased had a valid protection order, but law enforcement agencies did not take the necessary measures.
“This tragedy occurred due to negligence on the part of law enforcement agencies, the prosecutor's office, and security services. We will conduct a thorough investigation and consider the possibility of holding police officers accountable,” he stated.
In addition, the chairman of the special services added that in the event of similar incidents occurring in any settlement, the heads of local self-government bodies, the police, the GKNB, and the prosecutor's office will be held accountable.
It is worth noting that Bekzhan posted on social media asking for help from the president and the head of the GKNB to pay off the mortgage debt.
