A tragedy unfolded on December 23 — the birthday of a 47-year-old resident of Bishkek, who became a victim of murder. Preliminary data indicate that the incident occurred against the backdrop of a divorce process. The woman was shot by her ex-husband, former inspector of the Traffic Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs U.B.M., born in 1977, who used a traumatic pistol.
This case has caused significant public resonance, and the investigation is already under the jurisdiction of the GKNB.
Three sons are left without a mother, two of whom are in the 2nd and 3rd grades. Bekzhan, the eldest, reported that the alleged murderer is his stepfather.
“My mom worked her whole life as a simple teacher, providing for the family, the children, and a stepfather who hasn’t worked for the last 5-6 years. The apartment was purchased on a mortgage, and she made all the payments. Currently, we have a debt of about two million soms on the loan, which is an unbearable amount for me as a student,” Bekzhan noted.
He added that after their mother’s death, they found themselves in a difficult financial situation, left with a mortgage debt.
“Right now, I am studying at a university, but I have to temporarily suspend my studies and find a job,” he said, appealing to the authorities for help.
