Delegate from the Aravan district of the IV People's Kurultai, Marif Suyumbaev, addressed the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, with a request for assistance in creating a reservoir. This request was voiced on December 26 during a meeting of the Kurultai held in Bishkek.

According to Suyumbaev, there is no local water source in the Aravan district, and agricultural needs are met using resources from the Papanskoye reservoir, as well as from Batken and Uzbekistan.
“The most important thing for us is the creation of a mini-reservoir,” he noted. The delegate also requested assistance in finding an investor to implement this project. According to him, from October to March, the Aravan-Say river receives 8-10 cubic meters of water per second from Nookat. Suyumbaev argued that having a reservoir would allow for water accumulation during this period, which would solve the problem of spring shortages.

“If, God willing, in 200 years someone asks who built this reservoir, the answer will be that it was done during the time of Pasha Sadyr Nurgozhoevich, and in this way, you will enter history,” he added.

Additionally, the delegate requested assistance in transforming a 7-hectare plot allocated for the construction of a canning factory in the rural municipality of Dobo-Korgon.
