On December 27, 2025, a significant event took place in the Issyk-Kul region — the opening of the new building of the Ak-Suu District Department of the State National Security Committee. The event was attended by high-ranking officials, including the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Chairman of the GKNB, Kamchybek Tashiev, as well as the presidential representative in the region, B. Zhetigenov, and veterans of the GKNB.
The new building is located on a plot of land measuring 18 acres, with a total area of 240 square meters. Construction work began on June 1, 2025, and was completed by December of the same year. The two-story building was constructed using modern and environmentally friendly materials.
In his speech, Kamchybek Tashiev emphasized the importance of the new building for improving the work of employees and ensuring security in the country. He also noted that all GKNB buildings in the Issyk-Kul region have been renovated and necessary conditions for work have been created.
Additionally, Tashiev addressed the tragic situation regarding the murder of a 47-year-old woman that occurred recently. He expressed dissatisfaction with the inaction of law enforcement agencies, which failed to take measures despite the presence of a protection order for the deceased. "We will investigate this crime and hold accountable those who did not fulfill their duties," he added.
At the conclusion of the event, the Colonel-General cut the ribbon, symbolizing the opening of the new building, and inspected the conditions created for the employees' work.
