Her total teaching experience is 22 years.
“I was born in 1980. After finishing high school in 1997, I enrolled in the Faculty of Arts at the Issyk-Kul State University named after K. Tynystanov. I started my career at a children's educational center in Karakol, and then transferred to the Ak-Suu district, where I still work. I lead a club called 'sculpture and souvenirs' for children,” Ilebaeva said.
She inspires her students to create new products from unwanted items while simultaneously teaching them skills to work with various materials.
“In my three groups, there are about 50 children. We use paper, plastic bottles, and plastic bags. Previously, we created various crafts, but in 2020, during the pandemic, there was a problem with purchasing materials. So we started recycling unwanted items that usually end up in landfills. With this approach, we reduce waste and showcase our work at exhibitions. My students' works have won prizes in various competitions, including district, regional, and international ones,” Gulzat noted.
She also emphasized that her students eagerly look forward to each class.
“Children with creative abilities and numerous ideas come to me. No one forces them to come; they themselves eagerly await the lessons. When the class ends, I find it hard to let them go. The souvenirs they make are mostly given as gifts to their relatives. Some of the girls who studied with me continued their education in the field of arts. I am proud of them,” Ilebaeva added.
Gulzat also mentioned that for her achievements in pedagogy, she has received Honorary Certificates from local authorities and the Ministry of Education and Science, and she also wears a badge of excellence in education.
