According to the press service of the president, 690 delegates participated in the IV People's Kurultai, representing different regions of the country, including labor migrants living outside the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as representatives of religious organizations.
"During the forum, 150 delegates spoke from the podium, raising important issues and proposing specific initiatives. The agenda of the Kurultai discussed a variety of topics, including social issues, the development of the processing industry and infrastructure, improving water supply systems, as well as supporting agriculture and entrepreneurship," the statement said.
The press service also emphasized the proposals regarding the allocation of additional funds for the development of cities and assistance to citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic living abroad. In particular, ideas were expressed about simplifying the visa regime and expanding the political rights of labor migrants, including the possibility of their participation in parliamentary elections.
