Delegate of the IV People's Kurultai Ruslan Sherimbekov, representing the city of Kant, spoke in an interview on the radio about the current state of the military town, which is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to him, the infrastructure of this military facility is severely outdated. The roads are in poor condition, and the engineering networks are worn out. It is important to note that the Kant city administration has no legal grounds to allocate budget funds for the improvement of this area, as it is not municipal property.

Sherimbekov pointed out that the residents of the military town, who are also taxpayers of the city, are in a difficult situation. “We pay taxes, but we are left without basic living conditions,” said the delegate, highlighting the legal restrictions faced by the city administration regarding investments in this area.

Furthermore, he reported on the alarming situation faced by about 30 families who are at risk of eviction, which is causing significant concern among local residents.
