“They buy up plots and build to the detriment of people”
During the IV People's Kurultai, which took place in Bishkek, a proposal was made to limit the activities of private construction companies.
The initiative was presented by a delegate from the capital, Baktybek Shambetov.
He noted: “Private companies buy up plots of 5 acres from residents of new buildings, demolish houses in the private sector, and erect high apartment buildings in their place, which are then sold in parts. This is undoubtedly business, but such construction has a negative impact on the residents of neighboring areas, who face various difficulties. Moreover, land use norms are not taken into account, property boundaries are not respected, and there are no parking spaces, playgrounds, or green areas. Construction should be carried out with the consent of local residents,” he emphasized.
