The IV People's Kurultai has started in Bishkek, with the participation of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov.
The first day of the event took place on December 26.
About 700 delegates from various regions of the country are participating in the kurultai, as well as representatives of compatriots living abroad and religious organizations.
The opening of the event began with a film showcasing key indicators of the country's socio-economic development over the past few years.
After that, several industrial and social facilities across the country were inaugurated in an online format. Dozens of new enterprises and infrastructure facilities were put into operation, including logistics capacities, kindergartens, schools, as well as medical and sports institutions.
The construction of a road in the Batken region has been completed, significantly improving transport accessibility from the remote settlement of Zardaly, marking an important step in the development of regional infrastructure.
During the kurultai meeting, issues related to sustainable development of regions and improving the welfare of the population were discussed.
The delegates emphasized the need for the repair and construction of roads, water supply facilities, and social institutions, as well as the importance of building affordable housing in the regions. Solutions were proposed regarding issues of pasture lands and the return of illegally privatized plots to state ownership.
Participants also raised topics such as high prices for medicines, the development of small hydropower plants, support for the tourism industry, strengthening family values, and youth education, highlighting the need for more active interaction between government bodies and the population.
Tomorrow, the People's Kurultai will continue its work.
