The fourth People's Kurultai took place, where the delegates concluded their speeches. President Sadyr Japarov noted that he recorded all the speeches of the 150 participants and intends to pass the voiced proposals to the members of the government.

In response to the participants' suggestions, the head of state agreed with one of the delegates who expressed the opinion that citizens of Kyrgyzstan living abroad should have the right to vote in elections.

“I completely agree with this. Let's appeal to the deputies and discuss this issue. Perhaps we should consider introducing quotas or other options,” said Sadyr Japarov.

According to current legislation, in order to become a candidate for deputies, one must have lived in the territory of Kyrgyzstan for at least five years before the elections. Previously, commenting on this law, the chairman of the Central Election Commission, Tynchtyk Shainazarov, emphasized that this period may need to be reconsidered or even abolished for the upcoming elections.

In response to another delegate's statement, who said that there are no jobs for migrants in their homeland, the president noted that “there are many vacancies in Kyrgyzstan, but there is a lack of workforce, so it is necessary to attract foreign labor from countries such as India, Pakistan, China, and others.”
