The championship of the Kyrgyz Republic in freestyle wrestling took place in Bishkek at the "Zhashtyk" arena and was part of the national sports calendar.
On the second day of the tournament, final matches were held in the weight categories of 61, 70, 79, 92, and 125 kg, determining the champions and prize winners.
In the 61 kg weight class, gold was won by Bekzat Almaz uulu from the "Olimp" club – "Izabek", silver went to Omurbek Asan uulu (RSK), and bronze medals were awarded to Yuhan Dokturbek uulu ("Ak-Ilbirs") and Azim Abdykalikov (RSK).
In the 70 kg category, the winner was Zalkarbek Tabaldiev (RSK), second place was taken by Rustam Kakharo (Nefchi), and third places went to Adis Rakhat uulu (RS) and Ikram Khajimuradov (Osh city).
The champion in the 79 kg weight class was Ulukbek Asilbekov ("Taymanbas" – "Izabek"), silver went to Jakshylyka Baytashov (RSK), and bronze awards were received by Baytemir Tuloberdiev (RSK) and Kubat Azizbaev ("Taymanbas").
In the 92 kg category, Yakov Chaplin ("Taymanbas" – "Izabek") took first place, silver medalist was Bekzat Rakhimov (Osh city), and bronze medals went to Ulukbek Sooronbekov ("Taymanbas" – "Izabek") and Apaz Oskonbaev (SKAF).
In the super heavyweight category of 125 kg, the champion was Arslanbek Turdubekov (RS), second place went to Muzafar Jappuev (Kant city), and third places were taken by Alisalam Erkin uulu ("Olimp" – "Izabek") and Nursultan Arapai uulu (Chui region).
The championship started on December 24 and gathered the best wrestlers in the country, becoming a key stage for selection to the national team of Kyrgyzstan.
