In 2025, athletes of the national team of Mongolia won 149 medals

Currently, more than 250 athletes from Mongolia are training and participating in competitions under the guidance of 57 coaches. They are engaged in 27 different sports, including winter, summer, and Paralympic disciplines. This information was reported on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth.

This year, the team participated in 91 competitions and held 24 domestic and 11 international training camps, resulting in the acquisition of 149 medals. The medal tally is as follows: 36 gold, 43 silver, and 70 bronze.

At the World Championship, adult athletes won 4 gold, 6 silver, and 8 bronze medals. In the junior category, they earned 1 gold and 2 bronze medals, while among the youth, they secured 2 bronze medals. At the Asian Championship for adults, the team achieved success, winning 1 gold, 7 silver, and 14 bronze medals, while young athletes won 5 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze medals.

At the Grand Slam tournaments, the team's results are impressive: 7 gold, 4 silver, and 12 bronze medals. At the Grand Prix stages, they won 3 gold, 3 silver, and 6 bronze medals, while at the World Cup competitions, they secured 3 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze medals. In qualifying tournaments and other international competitions, the team won 12 gold, 15 silver, and 20 bronze medals.

The first medal for the Mongolian team in 2025 was won by international master Achbadrah Batmunkh, who returned from competitions in Gangwon Province, South Korea, with two gold medals in January. The last medal of the year was earned by skier Ariuntungalag Enkhbayar, who won a silver medal in the classic 5 km race at the Asian Cross-Country Skiing Cup, also held in South Korea.
