The State Mortgage Company is constructing elite multi-apartment buildings in the southern part of the capital. This was announced at the Kurultai by the President of the country, Sadyr Japarov.
Some delegates raised the issue of the need for state support in the housing provision sector. They noted that the prices of apartments from the State Mortgage Company are comparable to those of private developers, despite the fact that the State Investment Company receives land plots free of charge.
However, the president disagreed with this opinion. According to him, the housing offered by the State Investment Company is significantly cheaper compared to commercial offers. He cited projects in the southern part of the city as an example.
“In the upper part of the city, beyond the Southern Highway, elite residential complexes are being built. Previously, these lands, ranging from 50 to 100 hectares, were in private hands, but now they have returned to state ownership, and state mortgage projects are being implemented here. The cost per square meter is $1,400. These apartments are purchased by civil servants, migrants, or other citizens who can afford it. This area is considered prestigious, and we use only high-quality building materials,” the president noted.
Moreover, private companies are also constructing in this area. Their price per square meter reaches $2,000, and residents are forced to make repairs at their own expense. In contrast, we offer ready-made, well-equipped apartments at $1,400 per square meter, thanks to the state program and the free provision of land,” he added.
