Delegate from the Lenin District, Zholdoshbek Turdubaev, noted that there has been an increase in cases of violence against women lately. He suggested introducing restrictions for men who abandon their wives and children. Turdubaev emphasized that responsibility towards one's family should become one of the moral criteria for those aspiring to political power.
“We are currently witnessing a rise in violence against women. I propose to prohibit men who have abandoned their wives and children from holding positions in government institutions, as well as from being elected to the Jogorku Kenesh and local councils,” he stated.
