He noted that since 2021 and up to the present day, there has been a moratorium on the issuance of licenses for the extraction of gold, copper, and silver in the country.
“In addition, licenses for coal deposits are also not being issued. Currently, we are focused on auctions related to non-metallic minerals, such as gypsum, limestone, and other construction materials,” the minister clarified.
Mashiev added that the licensing process is constantly being optimized and that work is currently underway to improve the state of the industry.
“As you may have noticed, in recent years, there has been a large number of disorderly licensees,” the minister concluded.
