- According to an analysis by the EDB analysts, there have been changes in the structure of Chinese investments in the Eurasian region (2025).

In the context of Chinese foreign direct investments (FDI) in this region, several significant trends can be highlighted. One of them is the change in the composition of investment companies.

According to experts, one of the characteristic features of investments in 2025 is that most large projects are being carried out using the internal resources of Chinese companies, without attracting government funds.

“From 2016 to the first half of 2025, the share of state-owned companies in the structure of Chinese investments decreased from 62% to 53%.

At the same time, the share of the private sector increased from 22% to 27%, which indicates a gradual diversification of capital sources and the entry of Chinese private businesses into international markets,” note the EDB analysts.
