The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration of Kyrgyzstan has clarified the reasons and procedures for attracting foreign workers to the country.
According to the ministry, the invitation of foreign specialists is carried out exclusively in accordance with the legislation and only in cases where it is truly necessary for the economy. Such measures are most often taken on a temporary basis, for example, for construction work, investment projects, and other large tasks that require specific knowledge and experience.
The agency emphasized that foreign workers must not occupy the jobs of Kyrgyz citizens, which is one of the main principles. All aspects—from quotas and permits to the living conditions of foreigners—are under strict control of government bodies. In case of violations of labor or migration legislation, appropriate measures are taken.
The attraction of foreign workers is carried out in cooperation with other government institutions. Great attention is paid to ensuring the transparency of all procedures, respecting workers' rights, and increasing the number of local specialists over time.
The ministry also emphasizes that an important task of the state remains to inform citizens about labor migration and maintain stability in society.
