
Since 2014, more than 400 children have received assistance from foster families.
In Kyrgyzstan, the development of the foster family system continues, overseen by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration. Annual budget funds are allocated for the training of future foster parents and for the care of children in such families.
Currently, there are 114 foster families in the country, raising 250 children. Additionally, 31 candidates have been registered for the role of foster parent. Since 2014, more than 400 children have benefited from the services of foster families.
Regional offices of the ministry regularly monitor compliance with care and upbringing standards for children in foster families.
It should be noted that the procedure for providing foster family services is regulated by the Government Resolution of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 622 dated December 21, 2020.
