According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration, in the third quarter of 2025, 492 children found guardianship, 370 were adopted by national families, and two were placed under the care of foreigners.
“All families that have taken in children undergo mandatory registration and are under constant supervision of guardianship authorities, ensuring proper care, upbringing, and protection of children's rights. Adoption and the placement of children under guardianship are regulated by the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic concerning children, as well as provisions regarding the transfer of children to citizens of the country and foreigners,” the statement said.
The press service emphasizes that these measures are aimed at creating a safe and supportive environment for children left without parental care, as well as strengthening the institutions of family placement in Kyrgyzstan.
